Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has various scholarship schemes to reward meritorious students.

With the objective of encouraging meritorious students and academic excellence, Scholarships/ Awards are offered to deserving students of the University by the Symbiosis Society Foundation.

SCMHRD awards merit scholarship under SIU policy for all our postgraduate programmes. The following are the details of the Scholarship for Academic Excellence at SCMHRD.

Applicability and Commencement:
This scholarship is applicable to female candidates appearing for the University Entrance Tests conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). It is instituted in memory of Late Ms. Jayatee Deshmukh, a former student of SIU, and is funded by her family and administered by the University.

Awarded to:
i. One female candidate who tops the SNAP Entrance Test.
ii. One female candidate who tops amongst the SET/SLAT/SITEEE/SEED Entrance Tests respectively.

Nature of the Scholarship:
The scholarship is awarded to meritorious female candidates securing the highest rank in the respective entrance examinations conducted by the University.

Applicability and Commencement:
Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are among the premier higher educational institutions in the country. In order to acknowledge and attract exceptionally talented students from IITs, Symbiosis International (Deemed University) has instituted a special scholarship scheme.

Awarded to:
Five (5) IIT Graduates who secure admission to MBA programmes of SIU through the SNAP Entrance Test.

Nature of the Scholarship:
The scholarship is awarded to deserving IIT graduates joining the MBA programmes under SIU as recognition of academic excellence and merit.

Applicability and Commencement:
Symbiosis Ishanya Cultural and Educational Centre (SICEC) was established on 31st October 2014 with the objective of supporting and enhancing the cultural and educational attributes of the North-East Region (NER) of India. The University extends support to meritorious and deserving students belonging to the eight North-Eastern states namely Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram and Sikkim.

Awarded to:
Students from the North-East Region (NER) pursuing educational programmes at Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

Nature of the Scholarship:
The scholarship aims to provide deserving students from the NER an opportunity to benefit from the high-quality educational programmes offered by SIU.

(Post Graduate & Under Graduate Programmes)
Applicability and Commencement:
This scholarship is applicable to:
i. All UG / PG degree programmes which follow semester pattern.
ii. UG / PG degree programmes which follow annual pattern (except SMCW).
iii. A student can avail only one SIU scholarship per semester.

Awarded to:
i. Four semester toppers in the order of merit of every batch of every degree programme (UG and PG) under SIU.
ii. Four toppers of programmes which follow annual pattern.

Nature of the Scholarship:
First four toppers in the order of merit of every batch of every programme in every semester/ annually will be awarded the Merit Scholarship.

The Scholarship recipients are granted concession in Academic Fees of the semester, applicable to all full-time Post Graduate and Under Graduate degree programmes of all the Constituents of SIU, as below:

• 1st topper – 20%
• 2nd topper – 15%
• 3rd topper – 10%
• 4th topper – 5%

The scholarship amount will not be paid directly to the students. It will be transferred by the University directly to the Constituent for adjustment in the academic fee of the following semester.

In case the student is a topper in the last semester of the programme, the scholarship amount will be transferred to the student’s bank account as per available records.

Applicability and Commencement:
Symbiosis International (Deemed University) offers scholarships under the Global Immersion Programme (GIP) to provide Indian students with international exposure and learning opportunities through global academic engagement.

Awarded to:
Indian students participating in the Global Immersion Programme of SIU.

Nature of the Scholarship:
The scholarship is intended to support deserving students in availing the benefits of international academic immersion and global learning experiences under the GIP initiative.

The scholarship amount will not be paid directly to the students. It will be transferred by the University directly to the Constituent, for the adjustment in academic fee of the following semester. In case the student is a topper in the last semester of the programme, the scholarship amount will be transferred to the student’s bank account as per available records
