About the Jean Monnet Module “ECHO”
The Jean Monnet Module “ECHO – Europe-India Collaborative Horizon for Opportunities” is an academic initiative by SCMHRD designed to deepen understanding of the European business landscape and its relevance to India. The module offers an integrated perspective on the economic, political, legal, and cultural dimensions that shape EU-India relations, with a strong focus on contemporary themes such as trade agreements, regulatory frameworks, sustainability policies, and cross-cultural business strategies. By examining negotiations like the Broad-based Trade and Investment Agreement (BTIA) and exploring EU policies on ESG, CSRD, and responsible business practices, the course equips students with the analytical skills and global mindset required to navigate the evolving India–EU business ecosystem.
This initiative reflects SCMHRD’s long-standing commitment to academic excellence and global relevance. As the first AACSB-accredited B-School in Pune and among the top-ranked schools globally in the FT MiM Rankings, SCMHRD continually advances a curriculum that blends rigorous scholarship with real-world impact. “ECHO” builds on this legacy by bringing together interdisciplinary insights from business, law, policy, and international relations, supported by expert lectures, applied projects, and industry collaborations. The module aligns closely with the objectives of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Programme by fostering excellence in EU studies, promoting dialogue between academia and industry, and preparing future leaders to contribute meaningfully to India–EU collaborations, international trade, and economic diplomacy.
