Symbiosis Centre for Management & Human Resource Development organized a session on Contribution of Youth towards Developing a Sustainable Future” on 18^th Dec 2023. The session was conducted by Padma Shri Subhash Palekar, a renowned agriculturist, who developed Zero Budget Natural Farming (ZBNF). Dr Subhash Palekar explained the importance of living a sustainable life. He explained what is global warming and climate change. The effects of global warming were explained by giving an example of present-day chemical farming. He said that in the quest for a sustainable future, the role of youth stands out as particularly significant. The dynamism, creativity, and passion inherent in the younger generation can contribute immensely to developing and implementing sustainable practices. Particularly their fresh perspectives and creative approaches to problem-solving are essential in developing sustainable solutions. Youth engagement at the community level is vital for the success of sustainable initiatives. He urged students to increase millet consumption for a self-sustaining India.

At the end of the program, Samadhan book was launched by Subhash Palekar, SCMHRD Director Dr. Netra Neelam and Deputy Director, Dr Rajagopal. The book depicts the work done by SCMHRD students with NGOs, who work for underprivileged communities and the environment, under the Samadhan project.
