Entrepreneurship and Consulting Cell

The E-CON Cell conducted the 7th Edition of its Flagship Event Stratomania 7.0 on the 3rd and 4th of March 2023.

The event was a tremendous success, bringing together experts, leaders, and innovators from different industries to share their insights and experiences on a range of topics through a series of panel discussions, leadership talks and interactive workshops.

The event was inaugurated by our esteemed Director Dr. Netra Neelam and our entrepreneurship panel discussion guests Mr. Anmol Sharma, Founder of Finlight, Miss Priyam Singh, Founder of PawsIndia, Mr. Roshaan Mishra, Founder of BrandsDaddy, Mr. Tejas Shyam, Founder at the Education Journey and our Moderator, and last but not the least Mr. Nakul Khandelwal, Founder at Bidwheelz.com and a Member at TiE Pune.

The First Volume of the SCMHRD Consulting Casebook prepared by the E-CON Cell was also launched by our very own Director Ma’am. The Casebook is a dossier comprising of consulting concept, models, guestimates, ace the case concepts, interview processes, frameworks required to start a career in Consulting.

On Day 1 , The panel discussion brought together a group of successful entrepreneurs to share their experiences and insights on the topic “Entrepreneurship During a Recession: Balancing Strategy and Execution for Business Success”. The panellists emphasized the importance of a strong and flexible business plan that can adapt to changing market conditions. They discussed the need for entrepreneurs to assess the market carefully and identify new opportunities that exist within the current economic climate.

Furthermore, the panellists stressed the importance of cost-cutting measures to maintain profitability during tough times. They shared their experiences and insights on how to balance the need to reduce costs while still delivering value to customers. Further, the discussion also shed light on the Sharktank Journey of Miss Priyam Singh and Mr. Roshaan Mishra.

The second half of Day 1 saw the students of SCMHRD and other prominent B-Schools engage with our Consulting Masterclass speaker Mr. Pavan Valluri, Vice President at CGI Consulting on the Topic “Developing a consulting mindset: critical thinking, problem-solving and decision making”. The speaker focused on the ability to question assumptions and biases in your own thinking and challenge your beliefs. The speaker discussed the importance of being able to make difficult decisions on behalf of their clients. To do so, it is essential to gather all relevant information, analyse it thoroughly, and consider the potential outcomes of each option.

The Day 2 of Stratomania 7.0 began with the Mzakrat Consulting Panel Discussion with our eminent panellists Mr. Ulhas Ahirrao, Partner at Accenture Strategy, Mr. Vishal Jain, Partner at Deloitte, Mr. Amit Oturkar, Partner at KPMG, Mr. Mahesh Mandlecha, Partner at PWC and our very own Moderator Mr. Tejas Shyam, Founder at the Education Journey who shared their insights on the Topic “Value addition to businesses through frameworks used in consulting engagements”.

The speakers shed light on the consulting frameworks that are widely used by management consultants to help organizations solve complex problems and make informed business decisions. These frameworks provide a structured approach to problem-solving, which enables consultants to identify key issues, develop strategies, and implement solutions. The Partners also helped our students understand the nuance of the Consulting world and clarified their doubts and queries.

The Entrepreneurship Leadership Talk series on Day 2 saw our very own Alumnus Mr. Ashish Pawar, Co-Founder and CMD at AtomsAlive Technologies share his experiences and insights on “His Entrepreneurial Journey and Challenges Faced”. The session was candid and interactive and had an emphasis on his experiences and insights on how to implement a solid strategy effectively and efficiently. He discussed the need for strong leadership, effective communication, and a culture of innovation to drive success.

The final Consulting Leadership Talk series on Day 2 was just as informative where the E-CON Cell had the privilege of hosting Mr. Abhinav Johri, Partner at EY. The Topic of the session was “The impact of technology on Consulting: Embracing digital transformation.” This session provided valuable insights into how technology has transformed the consulting industry, and how consulting firms can embrace digital transformation to stay competitive and better serve their clients. He also spoke about the various ways technology has impacted consulting, including the ability to gather and analyze data, the rise of collaboration tools, and the importance of digital strategy in consulting.

Throughout the event, attendees had the opportunity to network with like-minded professionals and engage in meaningful discussions.
